Customer Comments

Since we opened The Tearooms in April 2010, we have been overwhelmed by the open, positive feedback we have received from customers, for which we are most grateful.

I wanted to find out from where our customers were coming, whether they were local, tourists, just passing or had seen the article in the paper, etc. I also wanted to allow customers to give their honest opinion and give them an opportunity to make any suggestions for improving the Tearooms in any way and so I created this Comments Slip back in June 2010 which has been placed on every table since then.

I have quite a stack of slips now! I thought I would share on this page some of the comments which our customers have left, some I have scanned in, but a lot I have typed as it takes up less room on the page, however, I have permission from them all as you can see from this picture, I ask everyone to initial the slip if they are happy for me to 'go public' with their comments.

I only include a few from each month here as there are too many to show you them all (about 300 or so)!

If a pub has to close, this is as good a way to utilise the premise. A gentle, zen-like ambience. Polite staff. The soup was filling and well made. Happily, I couldn't fault it at all. Congratulations. David Mulrenan, Brundish
One of the nicest Tea rooms we have visited. The food was excellent and the staff very pleasant. C Burgen, Bungay
A beautiful, warm tearoom. Lovely to see such traditional tea service and decor doing so well with commercial places being so dominant. Would highly recommend to all. Holly Revell, Bungay
A lovely tea, much enjoyed, especially by the children. So nive to have a 'proper' English tea room near to our home. The colouring sheets were an inspiration - kept them busy for some time! Thank you for the experience. The Metcalfs, Harleston

A little bit of real England. J Bridle, Saxmundham
Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Good service, very accommodating, making the children feel very welcome. A pleasant experience all round. We will be back. Elaine Leigh, Broome.
From the 1st step inside we knew that "this was the place" to be... and reading the menu and appreciating the decor, as well as the food was the "icing on the cake". We will return. Ken & Gwen Renshaw, Oulton Broad
So lovely to enjoy beautiful home cooked food in the heart of the country, excellent service, and a pretty decorated tea-room. Been here several times while passing. P Cannell, Lowestoft.
