About the Tea Rooms
Open Tuesday - Sunday (closed Mondays) except Bank Holidays
Opening Hours : 10am to 5pm (Sundays 11-5pm)
Serving:
Light Lunches
(sandwiches, salads, soup, baked potatoes, etc)
Cakes and Hot and Cold Desserts
Cream Teas
Hot and cold beverages
There is a gift shop area selling food jams/sweets etc and non-food items.
Successful Candidates will:
Have excellent customer service skills
Be well presented (a uniform will be provided), punctual, polite and helpful.
Must be able to work efficiently and be prepared to help in all areas when necessary.
Must be able to use their own initiative.
Special consideration will be given to candidates who have catering/waitressing experience.
Must be happy to be trained in simple food preparation and display for working in the kitchen too.
MUST be able to work through all school holidays
Must be able to drive here due to location.
All candidates need to be fairly fit! There can be a lot of walking involved in working at the Tearooms, and staff are on their feet most of the day.

Casual Staff
Part Time Tearooms Assistant
Starting beginning March 2012 for one regular day per week (Week 1 = Saturday and Week 2 = Friday, we have a 2 week rota), plus more hours to cover staff holidays and as extra staff to accommodate our larger bookings and possibly bank holidays (week days and/or weekends).
Duties include:
Serving customers at tables and in the gift shop area to a high standard.
Clearing and preparing tables.
Using the Till and credit card machine.
Preparing food and drinks in the kitchen to a high standard.
Using espresso machine (training given).
Washing-up, load/unload dishwashers.
Clearing and cleaning restaurant and kitchens at the end of each day.
Must be flexible and drive own car so as to be able to get to the Tearooms when required.
Whole days 9.30 - 5.30 and half days 12 - 5.30.
MUST be able to work through all school holidays.
This position has become available due to one of our excellent staff retiring recently. Start date - Beginning of March.
